El impacto de la pandemia en la evolución de la violencia en los delitos de la Zona Metropolitana de Guadalajara

Resumen

El presente trabajo pretende ser una contribución al conocimiento sobre los efectos de la pandemia en la actividad delictiva. En concreto se explora si el impacto de este evento fue igual en delitos violentos y en delitos no violentos, teniendo en cuenta que la dinámica de estos delitos es distinta. Para ello, se examina específicamente la evolución de los delitos de robo con violencia y robo sin violencia tanto en Jalisco como en la Zona Metropolitana de Guadalajara. Los resultados muestran que sí hay efectos diferenciados en estos delitos, tanto en el año en el que se presentaron los mayores cambios en las actividades de las personas por motivo de la pandemia, como en el año siguiente. A partir de estos resultados, se realizan algunas recomendaciones de prevención del delito para los tomadores de decisiones en esta materia.
