THE CURRENT HOUSING CONTEXT FOR DOMESTIC WORKERS IN MEXICO

This article is intended to show the impact currently had on the Federal Labour
Law in relation to the Homeworkers, (formerly known as domestic workers), Since 24th
April 1972, this sector has been prohibited from accessing its own home.
Currently, however, the last reform that was given to the Federal Labour Law on
May 1st to 2019, the legislator reiterated the refusal for domestic workers to be entitled to
their own housing, the social security rights try to be recognized in the Federal Labour
Law; having as a starting point, analyze the current context of this sector in the Mexican
state.
